Ready to move the world of intralogistics with tech? Join us as a People Operations Manager, where you will own and optimize the employee experience across North America through best-in-class HR operations, payroll, benefits, compliance, and employee relations practices.

Why does this role matter?

As Exotec continues its rapid growth across North America, we are looking for a People Operations Manager to provide operational excellence and expert HR support during a key phase of organizational evolution. This role will serve as the primary People Operations partner for employees and managers, ensuring seamless HR processes, accurate payroll and benefits administration, compliance with employment regulations, and a positive employee experience.

This is a highly visible and collaborative role that works closely with employees, managers, Finance, Legal, external vendors, and global HR teams. It is ideal for an HR professional who combines deep operational expertise with a pragmatic, people-focused approach and enjoys building scalable processes in a fast-paced international environment.

What you'll do

HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle

  • Own and administer day-to-day HR operations across North America.
  • Manage employee records and HR documentation throughout the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employment changes, leaves of absence, and offboarding.
  • Ensure the accuracy, confidentiality, and integrity of employee data and HR systems.
  • Act as a trusted resource for employees and managers regarding HR policies and processes.


Payroll & Benefits Administration

  • Collect, validate, and transmit payroll data to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Partner closely with payroll providers and internal stakeholders to resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, terminations, and employee communications.
  • Manage vendor relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for benefits-related questions and escalations.
  • Lead and support strategic projects related to benefits optimization and employee wellbeing programs.


Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, provincial, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and submit required employment-related documentation and regulatory filings.
  • Support leave administration, accommodation requests, and workplace compliance initiatives.
  • Conduct audits and maintain HR compliance documentation and reporting requirements.


Employee Relations & Manager Support

  • Provide guidance to managers and employees on employee relations matters, workplace concerns, and HR policies.
  • Support and conduct employee relations investigations while ensuring fairness, consistency, and legal compliance.
  • Partner with managers on performance management, disciplinary actions, workplace conflicts, and other people-related challenges.
  • Foster a positive and compliant workplace culture.


Projects & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead HR projects across the North American organization, including process improvements, policy updates, system enhancements, and compliance initiatives.
  • Collaborate with global HR teams to align processes, reporting, and employee experience programs.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and service delivery across People Operations.
  • Develop and monitor HR metrics, dashboards, and workforce reporting.

Requirements
What you'll bring

Experience & Knowledge

  • 5+ years of experience in Human Resources, People Operations, HR Operations, or a related field.
  • Strong experience managing payroll processes and partnering with payroll vendors.
  • Hands-on experience administering employee benefits programs.
  • Solid knowledge of North American employment law and HR compliance requirements.
  • Strong understanding of HR practices across the full employee lifecycle.
  • At least 2 years of experience leading cross-functional projects.
  • Experience in a fast-growing, international, or technology-driven environment is a plus.
  • Experience supporting immigration processes is a plus.

  • Knowledge of leave administration, accommodations, and employment-related regulations.
  • Experience creating HR dashboards, reports, and people analytics.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and continuous improvement practices.
