People Operations Associate
What You'll Do
• Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, providing guidance on HR policies, processes, and employee lifecycle matters while delivering a high-quality employee experience.
• Lead the coordination and facilitation of New Hire Orientation, ensuring a seamless, engaging, and compliant onboarding experience for new hires.
• Provide proactive, high-touch support to employees throughout onboarding and beyond, managing inquiries and cases with professionalism, empathy, and accountability.
• Act as a Tier 2 escalation point for complex employee questions and issues, using sound judgment and HR expertise to identify solutions and drive resolution.
• Build strong partnerships across the business and with key stakeholders, including Legal, Immigration, Information Technology, Talent Acquisition, and Payroll, to support employee needs and business priorities.
• Maintain accurate employee records and case documentation, ensuring data integrity, consistency, and compliance across Workday and other HR systems.
• Analyze trends in employee inquiries and operational processes to identify opportunities to improve service delivery, increase efficiency, and enhance the employee experience.
• Champion a service-oriented approach, balancing employee advocacy with business needs while maintaining discretion and confidentiality, and collaborate across the People Services and People Partnering functions to deliver seamless employee support as business needs and priorities evolve.
What You Bring
• Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of professional experience in an HR function or in an event coordination role with program or event management experience.
• Ability to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, with a strong sense of urgency and excellent time management.
• Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and a high level of ownership over the quality and accuracy of your work.
• Professional, service-oriented communication skills, with the ability to build credibility and manage stakeholders effectively.
• Collaborative approach and willingness to support others, balanced with the ability to work independently and execute reliably.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with a high degree of discretion and confidentiality.
• Continuous improvement mindset, with the ability to support transformation efforts and contribute to more effective processes.
• Experience with new hire onboarding and HRIS platforms, including Workday, is preferred; experience in financial services, process improvement, and Microsoft Office applications is a plus.
Salary Range
Millennium offers a total compensation package which includes a base salary, discretionary performance bonus, and comprehensive benefits. The estimated base salary range for this position is $70,000 to $160,000, which is specific to New York and may change in the future. When finalizing an offer, we take into consideration an individual's experience level and the qualifications they bring to the role to formulate a competitive total compensation package.
