Position SummaryThe Pega System Architect designs, develops, and maintains applications using the Pega Platform to support business process automation and case management solutions. This role works closely with architects, analysts, and development teams to build secure and scalable applications that meet mission requirements. The system architect participates in the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and implementation of Pega based systems.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and implement applications using the Pega Platform.
- Implement business process workflows, case management solutions, and user interfaces.
- Configure Pega components including flows, activities, rules, data models, and integrations.
- Develop and maintain integrations with external systems using REST, SOAP, APIs, and messaging services.
- Participate in Agile development activities including sprint planning, development, testing, and deployment.
- Perform troubleshooting and resolve application defects or performance issues.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation related to system design and implementation.
- Participate in peer code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and Pega guardrails.
- Support system testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance activities.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field from a college or university accredited by a U.S. Department of Education recognized accrediting body, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in software development or enterprise application development.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience developing applications using the Pega Platform.
- Certified Pega System Architect (CPSA) Note : Pega Certifications will be verified through Pega Academy.
- Experience implementing case management workflows, business rules, and user interfaces within Pega.
- Experience designing and executing unit, integration, and system test cases; familiarity with Pega's built-in testing tools.
- Experience integrating applications using REST, SOAP, APIs, or other web services.
- Experience working in Agile development environments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to Obtain and Maintain a TS/SCI Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications- Experience supporting Department of Defense or federal government programs.
- Experience with the Constellation UI Framework
- Experience designing applications utilizing Pega Blueprint
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Knowledge of Java, JavaScript, SQL, or related technologies.
- Experience working in secure or cleared environments.
- Familiarity with the Pega Community and Expert Circles (especially the Blueprint & App Design circle)
Security ClearanceAbility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government TS/SCI security clearance is required for this position. Must be a US Citizen.
