Job Summary
The Pega Developer will provide hands-on expertise in Pega BPM architecture, customization, application development, integrations, and performance optimization for high-scale, mission-critical platforms. The role requires strong Pega and Java/J2EE development experience, with a focus on designing scalable class structures and data models, integrating Pega with enterprise and legacy systems, and supporting modern data and search platforms. The developer will also provide technical troubleshooting and architectural guidance while maintaining Pega Guardrails and high-quality development standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and customize Pega BPM solutions for high-scale enterprise implementations.
• Provide architectural guidance aligned with CSSA/CLSA-level Pega practices.
• Develop custom applications and integrations using Java/J2EE.
• Perform deep Pega customization, including custom UI components, complex state management, and offline capabilities where applicable.
• Design and implement integrations between Pega and external Apache Kafka Stream and OpenSearch/Elasticsearch Search clusters.
• Architect robust REST and SOAP integrations between Pega and legacy retail systems.
• Design and manage complex data transformations across integrated systems.
• Design scalable Pega class structures and data models supporting multi-layered business logic.
• Tune application performance and memory management for high-concurrency environments.
• Enforce Pega Guardrails while maintaining high-quality Java development standards through peer reviews.
• Support containerized application environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes using tools such as Deployment Manager and Jenkins.
• Lead technical troubleshooting activities and provide architectural guidance for mission-critical platforms.
Required Qualifications
• 8+ years of hands-on experience with Pega BPM.
• Experience with Pega architecture at the CSSA/CLSA level and high-scale implementations.
• 5+ years of professional Java/J2EE coding experience for custom applications and integrations.
• Proven experience with deep Pega customization.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and OpenSearch/Elasticsearch integrations.
• Strong experience architecting REST and SOAP integrations.
• Experience managing complex data transformations between Pega and legacy systems.
• Experience tuning application performance and memory management for high-concurrency environments.
• Experience designing scalable Pega class structures and data models.
• Strong understanding of Pega Guardrails and Java coding standards.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Deployment Manager and Jenkins.
• Ability to lead technical troubleshooting and provide architectural guidance for mission-critical platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Store/Retail applications.
