Overview

The Patient Care Manager oversees the daily operations of a multidisciplinary team in three (3) or more assigned clinical departments to provide quality, cost-effective care.

Responsibilities

  • Manages operations of department
  • Ensures standards of quality and service are provided in accordance with organizational goals and priorities.
  • Resolves work related issues or assists employees in solving work related issues.
  • Determines fiscal requirements and prepares an annual budget for the department(s).
  • Monitors, verifies and reconciles expenditures and revenues. Prepares financial performas as needed.
  • Initiates actions for hires, promotions, transfers, discharges, performance evaluations, and disciplinary measures.
  • Ensures staff members are adequately trained and are competent to perform all required job tasks.
  • Implements Carle Experience initiatives related to improving patient satisfaction and employee engagement
  • Performs on-going quality audits related to initiatives of the Carle organization
  • Manages the provider schedules of the branch
  • Ensures appropriate patient intervals and contact hours
  • Teams with branch dyad partner ensuring effective branch operations


Qualifications

Certifications:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days


Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree: Related


Work Experience:
  • Healthcare - 5 years


Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
  • Leads multidisciplinary teams to achieve strategic, clinical, programmatic and quality outcomes.
  • Strong presentation skills with various audiences; physicians/providers, hospital administrators, nurses, community members, interdepartmental leaders, etc.
  • Strong clinical background and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to problem solve in a team environment and lead change.
  • Demonstrates independence, responsibility, accountability and good judgment.

Salary Range

The compensation range for this position is $47.23per hour - $81.24per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
