PathGroup is seeking an AP/CP or AP Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Pathologist with fellowship training or significant experience in gastrointestinal, liver, and transplant pathology to join a well-established, hospital-based practice in Dallas, Texas.

This full-time position offers the opportunity to work within a high-volume, tertiary-care environment with a complex and professionally rewarding case mix. The successful candidate will provide subspecialty expertise in gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary pathology, including challenging medical liver and transplant-related specimens.

The position will primarily focus on complex GI and liver pathology while also contributing to the broader surgical pathology needs of the practice. This PathGroup-affiliated practice supports a high-volume hospital environment in Dallas and provides diagnostic services across a broad and complex spectrum of surgical pathology.

The incoming pathologist will play an important role in maintaining and expanding the practice's GI and liver pathology expertise. Key Responsibilities

• Interpret complex gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, medical liver, and transplant-related pathology specimens
• Provide subspecialty consultation on challenging GI and liver cases
• Sign out additional surgical pathology cases based on the needs of the practice
• Perform frozen sections and participate in call and hospital coverage responsibilities as assigned
• Collaborate closely with gastroenterologists, hepatologists, transplant physicians, surgeons, oncologists, and other clinical colleagues
• Participate in multidisciplinary conferences and tumor boards as applicable
• Support laboratory quality assurance, quality control, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain compliance with hospital, laboratory, regulatory, and medical ethics standards
• Contribute to the collegiality, responsiveness, and clinical excellence of the practice

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology
• Fellowship training in GI/liver pathology or substantial professional experience in gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, and medical liver pathology
• Demonstrated experience with complex liver pathology
• Experience with transplant pathology strongly preferred
• Eligibility to obtain an unrestricted Texas medical license
• Strong diagnostic, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to timely, accurate, and patient-centered diagnostic care
• Ability to work effectively within a collaborative, high-volume practice environment
