Job Description:GDIT is currently seeking a
Past Performance Proposal Writer to join our team! In this role you will be responsible for the development, planning, and writing of compliant and compelling proposal content. As a key member of the proposal team, you will support GDIT Capture Managers and Proposal Managers in the planning and development of proposal win themes, and the identification of discriminators, benefits, and key features of solutions on proposals across the entire enterprise.
** Hybrid schedule requiring min 3+ days/week in Herndon, VA office (5 days/week as needed).HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:- Serve as Volume Lead and/or Lead Writer for Past Performance Volumes of classified and non-classified proposals at GDIT ranging in value from $50M to $1B+. Expert knowledge and hands-on experience in developing sections of federal proposals is a key requirement for this position.
- Work closely with Solutions Architects and Subject Matter Experts and operations staff to collect data required for the development of Past Performance Volumes.
- Research potential GDIT past performance references using the available resources.
- Write, edit, and revise proposal materials and coordinate with technical and program personnel to ensure accuracy.
- Analyze RFP requirements and participate in solution meetings.
- Participate in color team reviews.
- Participate in the continuing quality improvement initiatives.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED: - Bachelor's Degree in Technical Disciplines, Business Administration, English, Journalism, or a related technical or business discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience.
- 8+ years of federal proposal writing for a government contractor or equivalent technical experience.
- Experience as a Volume Lead, Book Boss, or Lead Proposal Writer.
- Experience writing Past Performance Volumes in support of intelligence community customers preferred.
- US Citizenship is required
- Active Secret clearance required
- Location: Hybrid schedule requiring min 3+ days/week in Herndon, VA office (5 days/week as needed).
The likely salary range for this position is $107,744 - $143,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
