Partner-Level Attorney – Mortgage Foreclosure Litigation

Location:New York, NY Remote, Hybrid, or In-Office | Practice Area:Mortgage Foreclosure Litigation (Lender-Side)

Your Responsibilities
  • Own mortgage foreclosure matters end to end 6 from initial filing through final resolution 6 for a portfolio of lender and servicer clients.
  • Handle substantive motion practice and pleadings, supported by thorough legal research and analysis.
  • Manage an active foreclosure litigation docket, keeping every matter on schedule and every client fully informed.
  • Appear on behalf of clients in court, including at trials, hearings, depositions, and conferences.
  • Serve as strategic counsel, delivering clear guidance and proactive case updates.
  • Work alongside fellow attorneys and support staff to deliver consistent, high-caliber representation.
Required Education & Experience
  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York State Bar, in good standing (New Jersey Bar admission a plus).
  • At least six years representing lenders in mortgage foreclosure litigation.
  • Sharp analytical, research, and legal-writing skills.
  • A track record of carrying complex litigation from intake through resolution.
  • Working knowledge of default-servicing platforms such as LPS/Black Knight and Tempo (a plus).
  • The ability to manage a high-volume, deadline-driven caseload independently.
  • Strong communication and client-relationship skills.
  • A portable book of business.
