Paralegal

Parsons Corporation is seeking an experienced, full-time hybrid Paralegal to join our OGC Operations team. This multidisciplinary position encompasses five core areas: Litigation and Outside Counsel Management, Insurance, Financial Reporting and Budget Management, Corporate Governance and Entity Management, and Operations Management.

Candidate Qualifications

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a distinguished professional background characterized by the following competencies:
  • Professional Experience: Demonstrated tenure within a corporate legal department or insurance company with a specialized focus on claims management and legal operations.
  • Legal Technology: Hands-on proficiency in the implementation and administration of legal technology platforms, including e-billing, workflow automation, and document management systems.
  • Financial Acumen: Demonstrated experience supporting departmental budgets, financial forecasting, accruals, vendor management, and legal spend reporting.
  • Process Optimization: Demonstrated capability in designing and deploying operational frameworks within legal, compliance, or similarly regulated environments.
  • Technical Competencies: Advanced proficiency in document production database management and e-discovery platforms.
  • Interpersonal & Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, complemented by refined interpersonal abilities, professional discretion, a collaborative disposition, and a proactive work ethic.
  • Project & Time Management: Exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to autonomously manage competing priorities and deliver multiple projects under strict deadlines within a fast-paced corporate environment.


Key Responsibilities: May include some - but not all - of the following:

1. Litigation & Outside Counsel Management
  • Oversee the administration and management of complex liability claims, serving as the primary liaison among the Company, insurers, third-party administrators, outside counsel, brokers, and business stakeholders to facilitate timely and effective claim resolution while mitigating legal and financial risk.
  • Strong understanding of liability insurance coverages. Preference for candidates with specialized experience in professional malpractice, general liability, automobile liability, and Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI) claims including compliance with reporting and regulatory guidelines.
  • Assist with maintaining the department's matter management system, including litigation matters, legal holds, subpoenas, claims, and related documentation.


2. Financial Reporting & Budget Management
  • Support the management of OGC's operating budget, including forecasting, accruals, invoice processing, financial reporting, and legal spend analysis in partnership with the Finance organization.
  • Identify opportunities to improve billing, e-billing, and invoice review processes to enhance efficiency, cost control, and reporting accuracy.


3. Corporate Governance & Entity Management

Support as needed the Corporate Governance Paralegal in:
  • Maintaining comprehensive corporate records, including minute books, formal resolutions, and registries of officers and directors.
  • Ensuring sustained good standing for all domestic and international corporate entities.


4. Operations Management
  • Help maintain and continuously improve the Office of General Counsel SharePoint site and other internal knowledge resources.
  • Assist with managing scalable knowledge management tools, including templates, standard operating procedures, playbooks, and other process documentation.


What Required Skills You'll Bring

  • 3+ years of active law firm, corporate, or government legal experience
  • Either a bachelor's degree and paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program, or an associate's degree in paralegal studies; may consider equivalent experience
  • Attention to detail, exceptional communication, excellent organization and time management
  • Knowledge of legal procedures and terminology
  • MS Windows and legal matter management software designed to manage and cull data is required

Salary Range: $30.58 - $53.51
