Full Job Description
Eaton's Electrical Sector - ARS division is currently seeking a Panelboard Engineer. This role is based onsite at our CPA manufacturing facility in Sumter, SC.

The Mechanical Engineer (Panelboards) is responsible for engineering customer orders including detailed review of layout and application of equipment, wiring and component selection, component layout and modeling using 3D cad software, and supports various phases of order management from initial engineering review thru production shipment.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $71000 - $105000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. What you'll do:

  • Verify that complete and accurate order entry information has been received for incoming panelboard orders.
  • Prepare Manufacturing Information (MI) for panelboards, utilizing Bid Manager, AutoCAD, and Plant Order Manager.
  • Identify and design special fabricated parts required using ACAD and 3-D modeling systems (Auto-Desk Inventor, etc.), ensuring that MI's are completed and the material is routed accordingly to the appropriate assembly team.
  • Interface with customers, channel partners, Field-Sales, and EatonCare through participation in plant visits, training support and customer events.
  • Provide input to Product Line development teams on design and pick table enhancements.
  • Support and assist assembly teams in resolution of process and/or information quality problems.
  • Support Satellite Plants thru design review and product implementation.


Qualifications:

Basic (required) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution OR currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program in Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates within a 75-mile radius of Sumer, Sc will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with MRP/ERP Systems.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Autodesk (AutoCAD and 3D Inventor).
  • Demonstrated technical and application knowledge of panelboards and switchboards.
