What You Will Be DoingAs the Palmdale Maintenance & Operations Senior Manager - Level you will be responsible for leading 24/7/365 maintenance of critical equipment and infrastructure across the Palmdale plant and regional sites.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Direct functional areas including electrical/mechanical maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry/painting, custodial services, groundskeeping, and the automated building management system.
- Oversee reactive emergency repairs, preventive, reliability-focused, and predictive maintenance programs for over 1,300 major assets.
- Manage contractor and third-party services (fire protection, roof, elevators, landscaping) and ensure compliance with bargaining-unit contracts.
- Serve as the site representative for the Emergency Operations Center, providing emergency response and crisis management support.
- Develop and enforce Plant Engineering policies, budgetary controls, and asset-management strategies aligned with Air Force capital planning.

Basic QualificationsSuccessful management of Plant Engineering/Maintenance teams with budget oversight and leadership discretion.
Strong technical acumen
Full spectrum leadership skills and analytics
Experience leading in manufacturing/industrial Plant Engineering/Maintenance environment.
Desired skillsProficient with the Microsoft Office suite
Strong written and verbal communication skills
10+ years of Successful management of Plant Engineering/Maintenance teams with budget oversight and leadership discretion.
Managing in a union environment along with collective bargaining agreement knowledge
Experience leading in a Government Owned Company Operated (GOCO) environment.
Experience leading at a large, multi-shift site.
Experience with reliability centered maintenance strategies and programs to include, but not be limited to, preventive, predictive, failure analysis, root cause analysis, equipment condition assessments and TPM type strategies.
Background and knowledge implementing and/or utilizing a computerized maintenance management system.
Preventive maintenance optimization strategies
Experience with Maintenance CMMS Systems such as MAXIMO or LM Buildings
Work Schedule InformationLockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. National Pay StatementPay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $124,900 - $220,225. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
