This role is part of Blue Origin corporate functions, providing centralized support across Blue Origin business unit teams, functions, and locations.
This is a high-visibility role responsible for managing the Blue Origin Political Action Committee (Blue PAC) and supporting the Government Relations team. The PAC & Government Relations Manager will be tasked with achieving a top-100 company goal: aggressively expanding PAC membership and employee engagement to meet ambitious participation targets. This position is critical to evolving our PAC strategy, managing the PAC budget and fundraising cycles, and strengthening advocacy efforts.
The ideal candidate is a passionate and energetic self-starter with a bias for action and a natural talent for recruitment and relationship-building. This role requires frequent travel and direct engagement with employees at all Blue Origin sites, as well as regular interfacing with C-suite and SVP-level executives.
SPECIAL MENTIONS:- Significant travel (approximately 25-50%) is expected to all Blue Origin sites to meet with eligible employees.
RESPONSIBILITIES:- Drive significant growth in Blue PAC membership through aggressive and innovative recruitment strategies to meet ambitious, CEO-level company goals.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for PAC member engagement, including creative communications and high-quality events.
- Manage the PAC budget, including forecasting and reporting, in alignment with federal regulations and fundraising cycles.
- Plan and execute engaging PAC events and fundraisers for employees, executives, and external stakeholders.
- Regularly interface with, brief, and staff senior executives (SVPs and C-Suite) for PAC-related activities and events.
- Represent Blue Origin and the Blue PAC at external political fundraisers and events.
- Manage the use of supplier data and relationships to support federal advocacy efforts.
- Conduct political and legislative research, tracking key issues and providing analysis to the Government Relations team.
- Interface with and support efforts involving external consultants and internal business units.
QUALIFICATIONS:Required:- BA or BS is required.
- Proven experience with federal campaigns, fundraising, political donations, and/or running a corporate PAC.
- A full understanding of federal campaign finance law and compliance.
- A passionate, proactive, and outgoing personality with a natural ability to build relationships, recruit, and influence others.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask with strong attention to detail and a bias for action.
- Deep understanding of the U.S. federal policymaking process and government relations.
- Ability to creatively communicate the political and legislative process to current and prospective PAC members.
Desired:- Demonstrated success in a recruitment, sales, or fundraising role with aggressive growth targets.
- Experience working directly with federal elected officials, political parties, companies, consultancies, trade associations, or governmental agencies.
- Experience working with suppliers, trade associations, and/or industry coalitions.
- Experience working with or on cross-functional business teams.
Base Pay Range for:
VA applicants is $121,023.00 - $169,432.20
