Full Job Description
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development, review, revision, and maintenance of servicing policies, procedures, and process documentation across mortgage servicing functions.
  • Assess documentation, processes, and controls to identify gaps, regulatory impacts, and opportunities to strengthen governance and execution.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for policy and procedure governance, documentation standards, and approval workflows.
  • Lead cross-functional discussions to resolve documentation gaps and align procedural changes.
  • Translate business, regulatory, investor, and audit-driven changes into executable policy and procedure updates.
  • Monitor document inventory, review cycles, aging items, and SLA performance; escalate risks or delays as needed.
  • Prepare executive-level reporting on documentation readiness, governance adherence, change implementation, and audit/exam preparedness.
  • Provide guidance and support to less experienced documentation contributors.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in mortgage servicing, operations, compliance, risk, quality assurance, policy/procedure development, technical writing, process documentation, or operational governance.
  • Experience supporting regulated financial services processes, including change control, documentation governance, controls, review/approval workflows, or procedure management.
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to translate servicing processes and requirements into clear, user-friendly documentation.
  • Ability to manage priorities, coordinate cross-functional input, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
  • Proficiency in document repository and publication tools such as PolicyTech, SharePoint, or similar platforms.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, analytical thinking, and document library management skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience establishing or enhancing change control, policy, and procedure governance frameworks, processes, and standards.
  • Experience supporting audit response, exam readiness, remediation, internal controls, or operational risk management.
  • Experience partnering with Compliance, Risk, Legal, Quality Assurance, Training, and Operations on documentation impacts and updates.
  • Experience developing metrics or reporting for document governance, review cycles, aging items, SLA adherence, or change readiness.
