Full Job Description
Lead financial and business operations for SOF Systems and Services (S3) programs, driving strategic performance improvements and operational efficiencies across a portfolio of high-visibility contracts. This partners with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to optimize budget execution, enhance process integrity, and deliver measurable results that align with mission objectives. The incumbent will mentor a finance team, champion process redesign, and serve as the primary finance liaison for S3 strategic initiatives.

As a Business Operations Manager, you will be responsible for:
  • Integrating data from various teams to drive business results and manage financial performance for a portfolio of programs
  • Managing short and long-range financial and program performance, including contract orders, sales, profit, and cash
  • Developing and managing program budget baselines, earned value management, and program performance reporting
  • Assessing issues, risks, and opportunities that affect business portfolio/program performance and developing associated action plans
  • Interfacing and partnering with external customers and internal stakeholders, including program management, finance, and operations teams
  • Supporting new business pursuits and developing executable and competitive proposals
  • Playing a key role in strategic business case development and analysis to support financial and operational decisions
  • Managing a team of finance professionals, including recruitment, talent development, performance assessment, and employee management


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or combination of experience and education
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Ability to be on-site to support staff as 1st line leader, senior leadership, program and customer engagements
  • Possess strong financial acumen, analytical skills, financial planning, interpersonal skills, full spectrum leadership skills, and experience in direct management and/or supervisory role
  • Program finance experience to include program financial reporting, EVM analysis, forecasting of Orders, Sales, & EBIT, and also risk to profitability reporting through corporate contract status report.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, experience developing and delivering presentation material to senior levels of management.
  • Aptitude to facilitate results, self-starter attitude, process oriented, structured problem solver
  • Ability to multi-task and manage challenging assignments
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

  • Experience with the SOF Customer
  • Strong time-management and prioritization under tight deadlines
  • Familiarity in successful execution of CPFF and FFP type programs
  • Experience partnering with Global Supply chain for subcontract execution and EAC development

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $80200.00 - $149000.00

Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Flexible work arrangements and schedules (e.g., 4x10), 401(k) match, Paid time off, Holidays, Parental Leave, EAP, Flexible Spending Accounts, Education Assistance, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, and Long-Term Disability.
  • Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
