Full Job Description
Your role.

Your work will include, but not be limited to:
  • Delivers Accounting Support to clients including financial planning and analysis, month-end close assistance, consolidation, complex reconciliations, financial reporting support, budgeting, and filling roles of the assistant controller, controller, and CFO.
  • Responsible for developing and growing relationships with client management
  • Leads client service teams and engagements providing accounting and finance functions including financial close reporting and related support, on a recurring monthly basis
  • Knowledge, application, and exercise of judgment of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and other basis of accounting to analyze financial information, make necessary journal entries and adjustments and prepare financial reports for management
  • Responsible for adherence and compliance with SSARS 21 Prepared Financial and Compilation Reporting Requirements
  • Provides support for audits by external entities and tax returns by coordinating information requests, and providing analysis as requested
  • Demonstrates critical thinking and utilizes good judgement in determining appropriate action and recommendations
  • Drafting financial reports, including annual financial statements and related disclosures
  • Preparing, analyzing, documenting, and communicating recommendations from financial fluctuation reviews and budget versus actual reporting. Present and participate in the delivery of analysis and recommendations to client management.
  • Responsible for coordination of client/engagement management including requests for information, schedule, timing, deliverables, budgets, and WIP/billing
  • Develops, documents, and advises clients on process, policy, and procedure improvements
  • Researches financial, federal, state, local standards to provide recommendations and solutions on complex matters
  • Work within budgetary and time constraints while providing a high-level of client satisfaction
  • Consistently achieves practice development activities with specific PD goals
  • Develop scope, budget and prepare draft engagement letters for new client proposals
  • Responsible for client billing and engagement realization goals, as well as collections.


The qualifications.
  • Experience working with QuickBooks, QuickBooks Online, Sage Intacct, NetSuite, Xero, Excel and Bill.com is preferred, overall technical savvy with accounting software programs is required.
  • Accounting skills necessary to generate, prepare and review general ledger, journal entries, records in accordance with GAAP, etc.
  • Ability to identify variances and research questions regarding financial activity and to improve accounting processes & procedures
  • Ability to coordinate information flow with multiple sources (Management, Partnership, team, staff, etc.)
  • Promote positive working relationships with diverse personalities/roles at all levels in the firm
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and execute own work on time and within budget
  • Ability to work in the office as well as remotely (hybrid)
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required; CPA preferred
  • 6+ years of accounting experience


This is an exempt position, so you may have to work hours that exceed the standard 40-hour work week.

The compensation range reflects the base salary we reasonably expect to pay for this position across our offices in the following regions: CO, IL, OH, and MA. Please review the position description for the applicable geographic location. Generally, experienced hires are not hired at or near the maximum salary range, as compensation decisions take into account a wide variety of factors, including but not limited to: responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. For early career roles, including campus hires, we offer standardized, market-based starting salaries among individuals within the same hiring group. This approach ensures fairness and reflects current industry benchmarks for entry-level talent.

The compensation range for this role in CO, IL, OH, and MA is: $110,000.00 - $145,000.00
