Overview

We are recruiting an experienced Outbound Account Executive to join Intuit in a full-time remote role focused on the US Accountant segment.

The primary objective of this role is to identify, qualify, and develop Mid-Market opportunities within accounting and bookkeeping firms , uncovering firms and client portfolios where Intuit's platform can deliver meaningful business impact.

This Account Executive will combine proactive prospecting, strategic discovery, consultative selling, and pipeline development to identify firms with the size, complexity, growth profile, and client needs that represent strong Mid-Market opportunities for Intuit.

Success in this role requires curiosity, strong business acumen, disciplined opportunity qualification, and the ability to recognize signals that indicate a customer may be ready for a broader, higher-value Intuit relationship.

The Outbound Account Executive will help Intuit capitalize on this opportunity by developing strong relationships with accounting firms, understanding their client portfolios, and uncovering Mid-Market opportunities where Intuit can deliver greater value across the broader platform .
Primary Objective

The Outbound Account Executive's primary objective is to generate and develop qualified Mid-Market opportunities through the Accountant channel .

This includes:
  • Building relationships with accounting and bookkeeping firms and understanding the composition of their client portfolios.
  • Identifying firms that serve larger, growing, or more operationally complex businesses.
  • Using discovery to uncover clients or groups of clients that may represent qualified Mid-Market opportunities.
  • Recognizing business signals such as increasing revenue, employee growth, multi-entity complexity, sophisticated reporting needs, inventory, payments, payroll, or broader financial operations.
  • Qualifying opportunities based on customer need, business complexity, fit, urgency, and potential value.
  • Creating a strong pipeline of Mid-Market opportunities and partnering effectively with the appropriate Intuit sales teams to progress them.


Responsibilities
  • Proactively identify, qualify, and develop Mid-Market opportunities across a portfolio of US accounting and bookkeeping firms.
  • Lead consultative discovery conversations designed to understand both the accounting firm and the businesses it serves.
  • Develop relationships with firms currently using competitor products, legacy desktop solutions, or existing Intuit offerings.
  • Help accounting firms recognize opportunities to modernize their technology stack and better serve growing and increasingly complex clients.
  • Look beyond the immediate product conversation to identify broader customer needs and potential expansion opportunities across the Intuit platform.
  • Work sales meetings generated through Lead Development Representatives while also proactively creating new opportunities through outbound prospecting and account development.
  • Make targeted outbound calls and conduct strategic prospecting to develop new relationships and uncover additional opportunities.
  • Maintain disciplined opportunity management, including qualification, account planning, pipeline development, forecasting, and CRM hygiene in Salesforce.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Mid-Market sales teams, specialists, marketing, customer success, and other Intuit partners to ensure qualified opportunities are effectively progressed.
  • Execute a consultative sales process that creates measurable value for accounting firms and their clients.
  • Develop trusted relationships with key stakeholders, including firm owners, partners, executives, and other senior decision-makers.
  • Leverage Intuit's lead-generation, nurturing, data, AI, and sales-enablement capabilities throughout the sales process.


Qualifications

  • 2+ years of successful B2B software or technology sales experience; accounting or financial technology experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in prospecting, opportunity identification, discovery, and pipeline creation .
  • Strong consultative selling skills and the ability to uncover business needs that may extend beyond the customer's initial request.
  • Proven ability to identify and qualify complex or higher-value sales opportunities.
  • Experience selling cloud-based solutions to growing businesses, Mid-Market customers, or larger organizations.
  • Strong understanding of sales methodology, pipeline management, forecasting, and execution.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with business owners, executives, and senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience working cross-functionally and effectively handing off or partnering on complex opportunities.
  • Practical experience using Salesforce or a comparable CRM.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred'
  • Strong interest in AI and the ability to understand how emerging technology can create customer value is a plus
