1. LDAP & Directory Services Fundamentals
Strong understanding of LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol)
LDAP schema design (object classes, attributes)
User, group, and role management
LDIF import/export operations
Directory Information Tree (DIT) structure
LDAP search filters and queries
2. Oracle Unified Directory (OUD) Administration
OUD installation, configuration, and upgrades
OUD replication topology management
Backup and restore procedures
Performance tuning and capacity planning
Monitoring and log analysis
OUDSM (Oracle Unified Directory Services Manager) administration
OUD custom plugins and REST API knowledge
3. Security & Identity Management
LDAPS (Secure LDAP) configuration
SSL/TLS certificate management
Access Control Instructions (ACI)
Password policy administration
Authentication and authorization concepts
Integration with:
Active Directory
Entra ID (Azure AD)
Okta
Oracle IAM products
4. Linux/Unix & Scripting
Linux/Unix administration
Shell scripting (Bash/Korn shell)
Process and service management
Automation of user provisioning and maintenance tasks
Troubleshooting using CLI tools
5. Troubleshooting & Infrastructure
DNS, Load Balancers, Firewalls
Network fundamentals (ports 389, 636)
Log analysis and root cause investigation
High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR)
Performance monitoring and tuning
Incident and production support experience
