  • Develop and enforce standards, guidelines, and best practices for competency mapping and validation.
  • Validate training evidence in the LMS adheres to QMS standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze data for trends and prepare reports for leadership.

Are you passionate about quality, learning, and aviation? We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented professional to lead quality assurance initiatives within our competency management framework. As an active member of our central organizational learning team, this role is responsible for ensuring the integrity, consistency, and effectiveness of our conformity mechanisms and fulfills the Quality Management System (QMS) and other internal compliance requirements. The ideal candidate will bring a quality mindset, expertise in impact analysis, tracking and reporting, and drive for continuous improvement to support team capability and performance excellence. What are your contributions to the team?

  • Provide consultation on learning processes and conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.
  • Develop tracking and metrics to govern actions, projects, findings and audit schedules to ensure the effectiveness and quality of competency-based implementations.
  • Manage change requests for competency management quality documentation and engage internal stakeholders to implement necessary changes.
  • Design, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes for competency management systems and programs.
  • Represent the learning team in discussions to resolve training-related quality issues and support implementations.
  • In partnership with the OL central team members, develop and enforce standards, guidelines, and best practices for competency mapping, assessment, and validation.
  • Validate training evidence recorded in the Learning Management System (LMS) adheres to the Quality Management System (QMS) standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement; prepare reports and recommendations for leadership.
  • Provide training and support to internal stakeholders on quality standards and expectations.
  • Stay current with regulatory requirements related to competency management and quality assurance.


How to thrive in this role?

  • You have post-secondary education in Aviation/Aerospace, Quality Assurance, or related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in quality assurance or compliance management in a regulated manufacturing environment. (adult learning experience is an asset)
  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and business acumen to assess impact, risk and develop effective solutions.
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French to interact with stakeholders and team members (Spanish is an asset).
  • You have strong organizational skills and flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and priorities; your creativity activates in ambiguous situations.
  • You have a drive for continuous improvement.
  • You have knowledge of aircraft build processes and familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as Transport Canada and the Canadian Aviation Regulations (CAR) FAA requirements is an asset
