Oracle EPM Techno-Functional Lead
Location: Allentown, PA or Hazlet, NJ, or NYC (3 days/week onsite required)
The Oracle EPM Techno-Functional Lead is accountable for the overall success of the EPM platform, including strategy, delivery, governance, and operational excellence. Acting as the single point of ownership for EPBCS, this role ensures the platform is optimized, scalable, and aligned with enterprise financial planning objectives across budgeting, forecasting, and performance management.
Core Expertise Required (Critical Qualifications)
- The ideal candidate must bring strong, hands-on techno-functional expertise in Oracle EPBCS, coupled with leadership experience in complex enterprise environments.
- 10+ years of experience in Oracle EPM and/or enterprise financial systems, including leadership roles with ownership of platform delivery and support.
- Deep, hands-on and architectural expertise in Oracle EPBCS, including:
- Planning model design and development
- Metadata management
- Business rule development and optimization
- Security design and role-based access controls
- Integrations with upstream/downstream systems
- Production support and operational stability
- Strong functional knowledge of finance processes, including:
- Financial planning
- Budgeting and forecasting cycles
- Performance management and reporting
- Proven ownership of EPBCS (or similar EPM module) delivery and support, including:
- Leading end-to-end module lifecycle (design through production support)
- Managing complex Oracle environments with multiple integrations
- Ensuring platform stability, performance, and scalability
- Driving continuous improvement and optimization initiatives
Key Expectations
- Operate as both a technical expert and business-facing leader, bridging Finance and IT.
- Provide hands-on guidance and architectural oversight while also leading strategy and roadmap execution.
- Ensure EPBCS is not only functionally effective but technically robust and sustainable.
- Drive continuous improvement, automation, and modernization of planning processes.
