Role Overview:We are seeking a skilled Database Administrator to support Tier 1 application layer databases in production environments, with a focus on SQL performance tuning and Change Data Capture (CDC) implementation.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform database administration tasks with a strong focus on SQL and performance tuning.
- Implement and troubleshoot Change Data Capture (CDC) processes.
- Support Tier 1 application layer databases in enterprise production environments.
- Manage downstream data streaming and integration using Kafka.
- Utilize Debezium connectors for database change event capture and integration.
- Monitor, analyze, and resolve issues related to databases, CDC, replication, and data flow.
- Coordinate effectively with application, database, integration, and downstream teams.
- Maintain an onsite presence to support customer discussions, production issues, and critical delivery activities.
Required Skills:- Strong hands-on experience as a DBA.
- Proficiency in SQL and database performance tuning.
- Practical experience in CDC implementation and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Kafka for data streaming and integration.
- Working knowledge of Debezium connectors.
- Strong monitoring and troubleshooting capabilities for database and replication issues.
Qualifications:- 4-6 years of relevant experience.
- Experience working in enterprise application environments.
