Responsibilities

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and document accordingly.
  • Identify and address patient and family learning needs throughout care.
  • Complete age-specific and procedure competency testing as required.

Experience: Minimum two (2) years current experience required in a large operating room.
License: State Nursing License or Compact State Nursing License.

Must-Have:
Candidate must be able to scrub.
Must be a team player, flexible, and accustomed to a fast-paced environment.
Must have successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment.

Description:
Utilizes the nursing process to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during a shift.
Ensures safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care of patients.
Provides direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting individual patient needs, actions taken, and patient responses.
Coordinates patient care through collaboration with the patient, family, and healthcare team.
Initiates, utilizes, and documents appropriate protocols and standards of care.
Administers medication and treatments as prescribed by a physician or standard protocols and documents according to policy.
Identifies and meets patient and family learning and discharge needs on admission and throughout the episode of care.
Completes patient population, age-specific, procedure, and protocol education and competency testing per unit standards.
Must have orthopedic, ENT, and/or vascular experience, which is a plus.
Epic experience is preferred but training will be provided on-site.
