Minimum qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience with one or more optical technologies such as long-haul DWDM systems.
- Experience in one or more programming languages such as C , Go, or Python.
- Experience in optical propagation modeling, utilizing analytical (Gaussian Noise (GN) Model) and numerical (Split-Step Fourier Method (SSFM)) methods for fiber-optic system design.
Preferred qualifications:- Experience with network equipment manufacturer or network operator in engineering or design role.
- Experience with planning and designing large scale networks (e.g., multiple sites, multiple products, etc.).
About the jobThe US base salary range for this full-time position is $126,000-$181,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Responsibilities - Develop production tooling to simulate performance of the optical network.
- Define requirements and identify technologies for scaling our transport network in a cost-efficient and operationally streamlined manner.
- Engage with external vendors and internal teams to operationalize stable, scalable platforms.
- Develop tools and processes for automation of network management and operations.
