Full Job Description
Aon is hiring for an Ops & Tech Specialist III to support our Affinity Healthcare group This is hybrid position our of our Fort Washington, PA office.

What the day will look like:
  • Lead for Affinity Healthcare Deliverables, Projects, and Technology Initiatives
  • Manage a mix of compliance requests, carrier rate changes / form filings, annual census, audit findings, corporate IT initiatives, strategic projects that drive revenue growth and optimize expenses.
  • Support technical workflow tasks from requirements gathering through implementation, testing, validation, and completion of deliverables.
  • Understand deliverable deadlines, technical dependencies, system impacts, and ensure accurate and timely implementation.
  • Become the domain expert of business processes and supporting systems, including AS400, AuMine, InsPro, Majesco, Wintam, CoverWallet, and SmartComm, with the ability to understand system logic, data flow, and programming concepts at a functional level.
  • Interact and coordinate with multiple teams, including insurance carriers, IT, developers, QA, call center, operations, accounting, compliance, and Healthcare leadership.
  • Connect with carrier partners to ensure alignment on project priorities, execution, as well as reporting on project status.
  • Translate business requirements into clear technical requirements, user stories, test scenarios, and implementation plans for IT partners.
  • Review and support system testing, defect resolution, data validation, and post-implementation monitoring for technical changes.

Skills and experience that will lead to success:
  • 7+ years of business experience preferably in the insurance industry
  • Critical Thinking: has the technical capability and systems knowledge to understand sophisticated processes, system logic, data flows, and technical dependencies.
  • Problem Solving: experience analyzing sophisticated operational and technical issues, identifying root causes, and partnering with IT on creative solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Intermediate experience with Excel and SQL; ability to read, interpret, and validate data queries and technical outputs.
  • IT background or solid grasp of programming concepts, system development life cycle (SDLC), application improvements, and user documentation.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Superb communication: both written and verbal.
  • Proactive Management Style and consistent follow-through
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Preferred Experience:
  • 10+ years combination experience with the following roles: PM, BA, QA, Dev/Ops, systems analyst, or application support.
  • Systems Knowledge: AS400 preferred; AuMine, Majesco, InsPro, Wintam, CoverWallet, and SmartComm experience a plus.
  • Prior programming, application support, systems analysis, or experience working closely with developers to build, test, solve, and implement system changes preferred.
  • Insurance industry experience

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of industry experience.

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $85,000 to $100,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
