The expected annual salary range for this role is $112000 - $164000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you'll do:Reporting to the Plant Manager, this person will provide operational management and Continuous Improvement leadership for the Irvine manufacturing facility with output in excess of $90M annually. This position is responsible for driving the execution and deployment of robust day to day manufacturing processes and continuous improvement/manufacturing efficiency initiatives across the organization. Additionally they will also plan, coordinate, and direct Operational Excellence programs designed to ensure the long-term success of strategic business initiatives and related goals; and support programs that our existing programs and components
Job Responsibilities:• Directly manage a salaried team of six direct reports with responsibility to build organizational capabilities within our manufacturing workforce.
• Champion a culture change within the workforce of teamwork, employee involvement, and continuous improvement through High Performance Work Teams (HPWTs).
• Drive continuous improvement through the use of EBS, Lean, and HPWTs.
• Achieve revenue increase through the execution of monthly production plans resulting in on-time delivery performance and reduction of past due backlog.
• Achieve labor productivity, reduction of overtime and lead cost reduction efforts to drive factory cost take out.
• Lead cross-functional teams to establish processes to improve ATP first pass yield.
• Champion implementation of MESH to achieve improvement in year over year safety performance
• Train and develop the operations team leaders.
• Collaborate with the leadership team to lead the development and implementation of the site Lean and Six Sigma strategy, actions, and cross-functional activities via the Continuous Improvement Council.
• Provide Lean and Six Sigma support across the organization to drive short-term and long term business improvements which includes training, mentoring, facilitating Kaizen events, Six Sigma projects, tool deployment, benchmarking, etc.
• Accountable for identifying and driving Factory Cost Out (FCO) opportunities across the organization.
Qualifications:Basic (Required) Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
- 4+ years of experience with Continuous Improvement within a manufacturing environment
- 2+ years of direct people leadership experience
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now and in the future
- No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the facility listed will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation

Preferred Qualifications:- Master's degree from an accredited institution.
- Aerospace experience a plus
- 2+ years of prior Management experience
- Six Sigma Green or Black Belt
Technical Knowledge: - Knowledge of materials planning systems (MRP/ERP) requirements and order generation process logic is preferred
- Must be able to communicate clearly to management, professionals, exempt and non-exempt employees in all matters concerning production, quality, safety and product design
- Extensive knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma techniques
- Strong knowledge of business systems and manufacturing processes required
Soft Skills:- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Must possess persuasive skills required of human relations and leadership
- Must be able to express ideas clearly to direct, motivate and train subordinates
