OverviewResponsibilities
- Assists clients to optimize treatment plant staffing labor, power and chemical costs
- Develops process startup, commissioning, and testing plans
- Develops site inspection checklists for use during construction
- Leads commissioning, startup, and testing efforts that result from Design Contracts
- Advises clients on startup adjustments and facility tuning
- Leads preparation of Standard Operating Procedures and comparable documentation
- Prepares operator training courses
- Leads preparation of O&M manual updates (paper and electronic)
- Provides facility optimization services
- Conducts overall systems performance evaluation
- Performs detailed process facility optimization review
- Reviews operating and laboratory data and data collection methodology
- Evaluates staffing levels and training needs
- Prepares process trouble-shooting guidelines
- Assists clients in staff development and transition planning
- Evaluates and develops strategies for operational data acquisition and presentation
- Assists with client marketing
- Participates in project pursuits
- Attends and participates in selected conferences
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in water and/or wastewater process operations
- Knowledge of regulated water/wastewater business and regulatory requirements
- Minimum of ten (15) years of experience with at least three (3) years in a supervisory capacity
- Upper-level licensing in water and/or wastewater treatment plant operation
- AAS in Water Quality Management, Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, Math, Environmental Science or related field of study
- Business and financial acumen, and demonstrated leadership and management skills
- Strong project management skills
- Strong writing and presentation skills
- Innovative leader with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to travel as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- BA/BS in Engineering, Biology, Chemistry, Math, Environmental Science or related field of study
- Superintendent or director experience in utility operations
Compensation Range
$80 to $110 hourly. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employees pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
