The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is looking for a full-time Operations Research Analyst (GS-1515-13) to work at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia.

We are hiring GS-13 Operations Research Analysts ready to turn complex data into strategic warfighting capabilities.

What You'll Do:

QUALIFICATIONS:

U.S. Citizenship required.

A Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited institution in operations research, computer science, data science/analytics, mathematics/statistics, engineering, or a closely-related scientific discipline. For any qualified degree, at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics with at least 3 hours in calculus is required. Advanced degree(s) are preferred.

Must exhibit a high degree of judgment, resourcefulness, originality, and the ability to foresee the impact of changing technology.

DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERTISE:

Knowledge of a broad range of operations research analysis techniques and possession of analytical abilities.

Knowledge of quantitative techniques and methods used to develop, adapt, modify, and apply models to resolve problems or define and clarify alternative solutions.

Skill to negotiate and/or defend findings and program support concepts.

Ability to lead study teams; originate new ideas, projects, and methodologies; and execute projects and/or studies within established financial and/or time constraints.

Ability to develop and utilize appropriate data collection techniques and design, build, and use models and simulation techniques.

Demonstrated proficiency with R, Python, SQL, PowerBI, and/or similar coding languages or data visualization tools to manipulate data and draw insights from large and small data sets

Demonstrated experience working and developing products in cloud data platforms, such as Envision, Maven Smart Systems, or ADVANA/War Data Platform
