Job Summary:

Responsible for the development and execution of strategic and tactical plans that drive operational efficiency and effectiveness across the organization. This role involves analyzing complex data, coordinating resources, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that all operational activities are executed on time, within budget, and in alignment with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Strategic Planning:
    • Develop and implement long-term operational plans that support organizational objectives.
    • Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate operational performance.
    • Collaborate with senior leadership and other departments to align planning activities with business strategies.
  2. Forecasting and Scheduling:
    • Create accurate forecasts and schedules based on historical data, market trends, and operational needs.
    • Ensure optimal inventory levels and supply chain coordination.
  3. Risk Management:
    • Identify potential risks and obstacles in the operational planning process and implement strategies to mitigate risks
  4. Collaboration and Coordination:
    • Work closely with departments such as production, logistics, procurement, sales and the business units to ensure smooth operations
    • Serve as a liaison between various teams to ensure clear communication and coordination of operational activities.
    • Lead or participate in meetings to review progress, troubleshoot issues, and align on upcoming tasks.
  5. Reporting and Analysis:
    • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on operational performance (KPI's), challenges, and opportunities.
    • Conduct root cause analysis to understand deviations from planned activities and recommend corrective actions.
  6. Continuous Improvement:
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the operations team and cross departmental.

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Industrial and Systems Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Experience:
    • 5+ years of experience in operations planning, project management, or related roles.
    • Experience with advanced planning systems (e.g., ERP, APS) and Microsoft Excel or similar tools.
    • Proven track record in managing complex operational plans and large-scale projects (e.g., subcontracting management, new product introduction, etc)
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively across teams.
    • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
    • Proficient in risk management and contingency planning.
    • Leadership skills and the ability to manage and mentor junior planners.
  • Certifications (optional but beneficial):
    • APICS CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management).
    • PMP (Project Management Professional).
    • Six Sigma or Lean certifications.


As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this position is:

• $101,639 to $125,199

Placement in the range depends on several factors such as experience and skills and may change over time. Additionally, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, which is based on individual
