SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Serves as administrative advisor to Operations Director and other Departmental Leaders. Responsible to work with the Operations Director and to provide ongoing daily operational oversight in all areas of assigned responsibility to include clinical offices, support services, patient care areas and where appropriate, College of Medicine (COM) staff including research labs. Manages capital, human and material resources for assigned areas of responsibility. Responsible for the efficiency and effectiveness of daily operations for assigned areas. With oversight from the Operations Director, participate in the decision-making process of assigned divisions. With oversight from Operations Director, responsible for identification and coordination of new and existing service opportunities within HMC and COM for areas of responsibility. Interfaces with appropriate organizational and departmental leadership to coordinate related grant and contract activity for assigned areas to insure compliance and delivery of services. With oversight from Operations Director, utilize pertinent information in the development of policies, procedures and training to enhance service, quality and cost for assigned areas. Where appropriate, must be familiar with both PSHMC and College of Medicine policies, procedures and systems.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree with 1 year of management experience required.
  • Demonstrated success as an innovator and change agent and ability to effectively communicate with internal and external community and business partners required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Project management skills, budget and financial background
  • Prior work in a healthcare or academic medical center setting preferred.
