Full Job Description
Eaton's ES GEIS CHD division is currently seeking a Operations Manager. This role is onsite at our Washington, PA facility. Relocation is provided within the United States.

Washington, PA is the home of the Eaton Crouse-Hinds commercial outlet box facility which manufactures steel boxes, covers, and prefabricated electrical assemblies. Manufacturing 1.3 million units per week, this highly automated and fast paced environment places a high value on talented professionals that focus on problem solving and efficiency.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $113000 - $165000 a year. Please note the salary information shown is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you'll do:

The Operations Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating organizational operations to ensure efficiency, productivity, quality, and safety. This role oversees daily business activities, manages cross-functional teams, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and ensures alignment with company goals, performance targets, and operational excellence standards.

In this role you will:
  • Lead daily manufacturing operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production while meeting customer requirements
  • Monitor and drive performance through key operational metrics including safety, productivity, utilization, quality, inventory, and delivery
  • Act as a business partner through continuous improvement programs and manufacturing process improvements by applying appropriate problem-solving tools such as SQDIP, Standard Work and 5S.
  • Execute and manage production schedules, balancing demand, capacity, and resources to achieve on-time delivery
  • Forecast production shipment targets, and execute delivery amounts
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Safety, HR, and Planning to align operational goals and execution
  • Report operational performance, key initiatives, and daily management meeting outcomes to the leadership team, providing visibility into plant operations and business performance.
  • Proactively implement, promote and maintain a safe working environment, through diligence in accident prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance and Zero Incident culture enforcement.
  • Write capital procurement requests allocating funds to support safety and productivity
  • Optimize KPI's at a department level, ensuring accountability and completion related to all functions
  • Analyze problems, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions to drive sustainable improvements
  • Lead, coach, and develop front line leaders and employees to build a high-performing, accountable, and engaged workforce


Qualifications:

Basic (Required) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in operations, manufacturing, logistics, or a related environment.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of leadership experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, or Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong knowledge of process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma).
  • Experience with ERP systems and data-driven decision-making.
  • SAP business system experience.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Sales & Marketing and Planning Teams (forecasting, production scheduling, capacity planning).
  • Lean Six Sigma experience.
  • Experience leading Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Direct managerial experience within Operations or Manufacturing environment.
  • Experience utilizing DMM.
