Responsibilities

  • Lead the Project Controls team at local, regional, or global levels.
  • Engage in portfolio planning and manage project controls activities.
  • Implement risk and change management processes effectively.

  • Develop and enhance project controls processes in accordance with ABB guidelines.
  • Ensure project controls meet contractual obligations with customers.
  • Manage a small team to ensure adequate staffing and skill levels.

Full Job Description
This position reports to:
Manufacturing Unit Manager

The work model for the role is: Onsite, Mebane, NC

Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to build relationships with customers to collaborate and improve processes. Each day, you will engage in monitoring and controlling backlog in a proactive approach to ensure customers receive accurate and timely information.

You will be mainly accountable for:
  • Build long-term relationships with customers to collaborate and improve process as needed looking at the success of the business.
  • Lead and own communication across the organization of internal/external stakeholders, and customer issues resolution process to ensure customer's satisfaction.
  • Developing and continuously improving project controls processes on the regional or local level based on ABB guidelines and industry best practices.
  • Monitor and control backlog in proactive approach to ensure customers receive accurate and timely information about deliveries to fulfill volumes according to ABB quality standard, making sure the utilization of available resources.
  • Provides appropriate solutions and work around for customer requests and oversees the coordination with related teams across our organization to ensure complete handling of requests, including special products, order completion, expediting requests, push out requests, cancellation requests, tracking and communication aspects, account blocks and suspensions, etc.


Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor degree PLUS minimum of 5 years of experience in Project Management, sales, and operations (preferred).
  • PMP required or equivalent 5 years of project management experience.
  • SAP and Microsoft Office
  • Customer service experience, a plus
  • Spanish language skills, a plus
  • Candidates must already have work authorization would permit them to work in the U.S.
