This position reports to:Supervisor Operations 2
Supervises a team of service engineers and service technicians and contributes to execution of the service strategy and service growth by focusing on delivering timely, high-quality, cost-effective service offerings, solutions, and projects (e.g., field service, repair) to customers.
Responsibilities:- Executes comprehensive testing and validation protocols on workshop products, systems, and components with a focus on quality and accuracy.
- Acts with sense of urgency and care, balancing technical excellence with business delivery timelines.
- Monitors and optimizes test schedules, resource allocation, and workload distribution to meet critical delivery targets while maintaining quality standards.
- Collaborates with workshop engineers to identify testing bottlenecks and drives process improvements that reduce cycle time and cost.
- Interprets technical specifications, test procedures, and quality documentation to ensure testing accuracy and compliance with customer requirements.
- Ensures all documentation is completed accurately, timely, and in full compliance with internal systems and external customer requirements.
- Manages test equipment inventory, calibration, and maintenance to ensure optimal tool availability and operational cost control.
- Identifies quality issues, root causes, and solutions proactively, communicating recommendations to drive continuous service productivity improvements.
The work model for the role is: Onsite in Westerville, OH.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience required; OR Associate's degree with 10+ years of experience required; OR HS Diploma with 12+ years of experience required.
- Practical experience in manufacturing, repair, and customer service within an industrial environment.
- Experience with Paper, Chemical, Power, or Aerospace industries.
- Must have great attention to detail, with strong problem-solving skills and methods.
- Need a great collaborator that is self-directed but able to work within a team environment.
- Business-oriented and highly organized.
- Must be able to work from Westerville, OH (Columbus area) without need for company relocation.
- Up to 10% travel, including international

Time off
ABB provides 11 paid holidays. Vacation is provided based on years of service for hourly and non-exempt positions. Salaried exempt positions are provided vacation under a permissive time away policy.
While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant's qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $83,300 and $125,000 annually.
