MDW Associates is currently seeking an
Operations Analyst to work with our government client in Arlington, VA. The Operations Analyst will support the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Acquisition and Sustainment (OUSW(A&S)), which plays a critical role within the Department of War (DoW).
This role is a hybrid position that is two to three days per week on-site.
The
Operations Analyst may perform a combination of some or all of the following duties:
- Manage standard operating procedures (SOPs), to include tracking, updating, creating, disseminating, and auditing SOPs.
- Manage awards program, supporting all phases from the initial call for nominations, through nomination intake and review, and concluding with final award decisions, recipient notification, and program close-out activities.
- Responsibilities also include managing the process for the award presentation, such as coordinating logistics, preparing presentation materials, ensuring proper recognition of recipients, and facilitating any associated ceremonies or events.
- Manage the Acquisition Exchange Program (AEP), supporting all phases from submission of applications through review and nomination, assignment tenure, and conclusion.
- Provide routine contact and training to maximize participant opportunities and experience.
- Manage the input and flow of responses in the Correspondence and Task Management System (CATMS) to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Demonstrate expert-level understanding of the roles, responsibilities, and equities to efficiently evaluate incoming tasks.
- Provide informed recommendations for acceptance and assignment to the appropriate directorate(s) or advise on rejection of tasks with a recommended OSD level OPR.
- Manage and regularly update the website to provide an intuitive, comprehensive and up to date resource of DoW-level contract and pricing-related policies, regulations, guidance, training and e-Business tools for the DoW Acquisition and Contracting community.
Required Experience/Skills:- At least 5 years of practical experience, including at least 1-2 years of recent staff-level service.
- Demonstrated ability in correspondence management and task tracking, supporting administrative workflows, SharePoint sites, preparing professional correspondence and briefing materials, and the ability to collaborate across teams and stakeholders.
- Adaptable in dynamic environments, integrity in handling sensitive information, initiative in anticipating needs, and strong interpersonal communication to foster effective collaboration.
Education Requirements:- Bachelor's Degree is required.
Security Requirements:- Candidates for this position must have an Active Secret Security Clearance.
