Position Description: CGI is seeking a highly skilled OpenText Extended ECM (xECM) Functional & Technical Senior Consultant for a critical SAP S/4HANA implementation. This role involves leading the design, configuration, and integration of OpenText xECM as the central document and content management solution. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in both the functional configuration of xECM for SAP and its technical backend integration, with a focus on user provisioning and lifecycle management.
This position is located in one of CGI Federal's offices in Fairfax, VA; Lebanon, VA; Lafayette, LA; or Knoxville, TN; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable. You will be required to work in a CGI Federal office two days per week.
Your future duties and responsibilities:• Lead the design and hands-on configuration of OpenText xECM integrated with SAP S/4HANA
Administer OpenText Content Server, Archive Server, and OpenText Directory Services (OTDS) at an expert level
• Perform technical customization in OpenText and backend scripts for document management, metadata extraction, and workflow automation
• Design and build integrations between OpenText platforms (e.g., Documentum, Extended ECM) and SAP S/4HANA financial processes, including procure-to-pay (P2P), order-to-cash (O2C), and general ledger (GL)
• Architect and develop document services that connect OpenText repositories with SAP transactions
• Implement content-enabled workflows aligned with federal financial processes and audit requirements
• Support federal compliance, records management, and auditability by automating capture, classification, and retention of financial documents
• Support federal auditability by creating strict audit trails for documents supporting all SAP S/4HANA financial processes
• Configure Business Workspaces, ArchiveLink, and Smart UI for seamless integration between SAP objects (e.g., Purchase Orders, Requisitions) and xECM
• Lead document storage setup and archiving solution design using OpenText with SAP S/4HANA
• Translate complex business requirements into technical blueprints and functional specifications
• Develop and optimize document management processes, version control, and records management to ensure compliance
• Define and implement storage architecture, including volume strategy, archiving, backup, and recovery
• Provide architectural guidance on security, compliance, and retention policies
• Lead Unit Testing, Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and provide post-go-live support
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:• Due to contract requirements, U.S. citizenship and successful completion of a CGI background check are required prior to the start of work. Candidates must also have the ability to obtain and maintain a DHS EOD/Public Trust clearance
• Minimum 8+ years of experience with OpenText ECM/Content Server, with a focus on xECM for SAP
• Proven experience in at least one full-cycle SAP S/4HANA implementation
• Expertise in configuring xECM Categories, Attributes, and Business Workspaces
• Ability to write custom scripting for advanced scenarios, without using OScript if necessary
• Understanding of Archive Center, Enterprise Scan, and Document Pipeline
• Strong ability to collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams
• Experience designing storage strategies for OpenText, including file system and/or cloud storage (RISE/AWS, where applicable)
• Strong experience integrating OpenText with SAP using ArchiveLink and Extended ECM for SAP
• Experience working with SAP S/4HANA environments
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present and discuss strategies and technical information in a manner that builds rapport and ensures understanding among technical and non-technical audiences
Desired qualifications:
• OpenText Certification in Extended ECM for SAP
• Experience with SAP RISE/NS2 implementations
• Familiarity with OpenText xCP, Captiva/Intelligent Capture, or InfoArchive
• Experience with cloud-native deployments (e.g., Kubernetes)

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $100,800.00 - $245,500.00.
