OpenText Exstream Business Analyst Location - Dallas, TX(Remote)
Job Summary: - Gather, analyze, and document end to end business requirements (BRDs, FRDs, user stories) for Customer Communication Management (CCM) initiatives, ensuring clarity, completeness, and alignment with business objectives.
- Translate business needs into structured functional requirements that support scalable, maintainable CCM processes and solutions.
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand communication workflows, regulatory requirements, communication rules, and operational processes across print, email, SMS, and digital channels.
- Work closely with CCM platform teams (preferred: OpenText Exstream) to ensure business requirements are accurately interpreted and implemented within templates, data mapping, workflows, and output generation.
- Coordinate and support migration efforts from legacy CCM platforms to OpenText Exstream, ensuring business rules, customer journeys, communication templates, and compliance requirements are properly transitioned.
- Document current state and future state communication processes, identifying gaps, dependencies, and opportunities for optimization.
- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) by preparing test scenarios, validating outputs, reviewing templates, and confirming business rule accuracy across all communication channels.
- Collaborate across cross functional teams including developers, QA, architects, designers, product owners, and vendor partners to ensure alignment throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Provide input for release planning, communication calendars, and operational readiness, ensuring stakeholders clearly understand impacts, timelines, and dependencies.
- Assist in platform version upgrades by reviewing business impacts, validating communication changes, and ensuring backward compatibility and quality of business-facing outputs.
- Leverage working knowledge of AWS based communication ecosystems (preferred) including event-driven workflows such as AWS Lambda, and integrations with enterprise storage or downstream systems.
- Maintain and update documentation repositories including BRDs, process flows, use cases, communication catalogs, template inventory logs, and knowledge articles.
Required Skills and Experience - 8-12 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in Customer Communication Management (CCM) or large-scale correspondence operations.
- Preferred: Hands-on experience with OpenText Exstream (Designer, Empower, Orchestrator) or any enterprise CCM platforms (Quadient, Messagepoint, GMC, Papyrus, etc.).
- Proven ability to write comprehensive BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and process maps, including data flows, decision logic, and communication rules.
- Strong understanding of batch, on-demand, and interactive communications, including regulatory and compliance considerations.
- Experience supporting CCM migrations, template consolidation, communication rationalization, and modernization initiatives.
- Familiarity with multi channel communication lifecycles (print, digital, SMS, email) and customer journey mapping.
- Exposure to AWS cloud ecosystem (preferred), especially event-driven communication processes, Lambda triggers, or file based integrations.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills-able to interact confidently with business teams, leadership, and technical teams.
- Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery models, contributing to backlog refinement, sprint planning, and cross team alignment
The pay range for this role is
$110,000 - $130,000 per annum including any bonuses or variable pay.
