Job Summary:

The OneStream System Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day administration, maintenance, and ongoing development of HEP's OneStream platform in support of Accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting. This position owns system updates, security, workflow configuration, report and cube view development, and consolidation maintenance for the Accounting side of the platform. The role brings in-house the maintenance and build-out work providing a dedicated internal resource for enhancements, acquisition-driven consolidation changes, and end-user training..

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Administer and maintain the OneStream environment, including application updates, service pack and platform release testing, metadata maintenance, and coordination with the vendor and internal IT on system upgrades.
  • Maintain the financial consolidation process within OneStream, including entity and account structure changes, intercompany eliminations, equity pickup, currency and ownership updates, and consolidation build-outs required for acquisitions and new joint ventures.
  • Design, build, and maintain financial and management reports, cube views, dashboards, quick view books, and landing pages, and convert legacy Excel XFGet workbooks to supported cube view reporting.
  • Configure and maintain workflows, business rules, data integration and ETL processes, and confirmation rules that support the monthly close, forecast, and annual budget cycles.
  • Administer system security, including user provisioning, role and group maintenance, cost center owner input security, and segregation of sensitive compensation and people planning data.
  • Support the annual budget and forecast processes, including line item detail budgeting, headcount and people planning, drill-down to expense detail, and workflow assignment by account and cost center.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve user-reported issues, data load failures, and calculation or reporting discrepancies, and serve as the primary point of contact for Accounting's OneStream support requests.
  • Develop and deliver end-user training and documentation on report building, data submission, and system navigation to build internal capability and reduce reliance on outside consulting.
  • Scope, prioritize, and deliver enhancement requests from Accounting and Financial Reporting, including regulatory and tax reporting requirements, audit support reports, and treasury reporting automation.
  • Coordinate with Finance, IT, and third-party consultants on new OneStream product releases, platform strategy, and cross-functional integration efforts.
  • Respond to ad hoc reporting and analysis requests and support special projects as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Hands-on administration and development experience with OneStream or a comparable EPM platform, including consolidation, planning, and reporting applications.
  • Ability to build and maintain cube views, dashboards, workflows, business rules, and data integration processes.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, MDX, ETL processes, VBA, and scripting used to extend and automate EPM applications.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial consolidation, internal controls, and compliance standards, including handling of sensitive compensation data.
  • Ability to translate business requirements from Accounting, Financial Reporting, and Operations into system design and deliver on schedule.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a track record of prompt turnaround on user requests.
  • Demonstrated ability to train end users and make report building understandable to non-technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and the interfaces that feed financial data into EPM applications.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently in a remote setting across Accounting, Finance, and IT.


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or Business.
  • 7 or more years of EPM implementation, development, and support experience (e.g., OneStream, BPC, TM1, Hyperion, Vena, SAP Analytics).
  • Experience administering or implementing consolidation, planning, capital, and people planning or workforce models.
  • OneStream certifications preferred (Essentials, Building Reports, Implementing, Configuring Security).
  • Public accounting experience is a plus; energy or midstream industry experience is a plus.


Certifications:

  • OneStream certifications preferred (Essentials, Building Reports, Implementing, Configuring Security).
  • CPA is a plus
