The Opportunity:

Make your mark while you grow your career! The Oil Sands Royalty Analyst is a member of the Oil Sands Royalty Group, completing the OSR royalty reporting for the OSR projects located within our extensive mining, thermal, Exploration and Production (E&P) oil sands asset base. You will have the unique opportunity to work with various operations and finance teams at Canadian Natural, while also broadening your oil sands industry knowledge.

  • Job location: Calgary, Alberta
  • Work schedule: 5 x 2, 8-hour shifts
  • Safety sensitive position: No
  • Application deadline: September 16, 2026


Key Accountabilities:

  • Analyze and prepare monthly OSR project royalty reports
  • Analyze and prepare annual OSR project End-of-Period Statements
  • Coordinate and prepare responses for OSR royalty audits
  • Prepare OSR royalty forecasts
  • Coordinate and prepare applications for new OSR projects and for expansions to currently approved OSR projects
  • Assist in the completion of special projects


What you Bring to the Role:

  • Related University Degree and Accounting Designation
  • Familiarity with and understanding of:
    • Microsoft Office, in particular Excel
    • EnterpriseOne or similar Enterprise Resource Planning software
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently within a team environment
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry and familiarity with the Alberta Energy Oil Sands Royalty Regulations considered an asset
