Job DescriptionJob SummaryThe Office Manager is responsible for overseeing daily office operations and ensuring the workplace runs efficiently and smoothly. This role supports administrative, facilities, purchasing, and accounting functions while maintaining a professional and organized office environment. Reporting to the Executive Assistants of both the Buildings and Civil divisions, the Office Manager will work collaboratively across teams to support business operations, manage office services, and contribute to a productive and positive workplace culture.
Key ResponsibilitiesOffice Operations & Administration
- Oversee the day-to-dayoperations of the office.
- Serve as the primary pointof contact for office-related inquiries.
- Coordinate officemaintenance, repairs, and vendor relationships.
- Manage incoming mail,deliveries, and office correspondence.
- Organize meetings, officeevents, and employee activities as required.
Purchasing & Inventory Management
- Process and track purchaseorders (POs).
- Order office supplies,kitchen supplies, coffee, and other workplace essentials.
- Maintain appropriateinventory levels.
- Liaise with vendors andsuppliers to ensure timely deliveries and resolve issues.
Facilities Management
- Ensure kitchen and commonareas remain clean, organized, and fully stocked.
- Oversee dishwasheroperation and coordinate kitchen upkeep.
- Monitor office cleanlinessstandards.
- Manage office equipmentmaintenance and service requests.
- Maintain organization insupply storage rooms.
Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Support
- Process invoices andsupport accounts payable activities.
- Assist with accountsreceivable tracking and follow-up.
- Maintain accuratefinancial and administrative records.
- Coordinate with theFinance department regarding payments and invoicing.
- Submit expenses to Financedepartment.
Administrative Support
- Maintain filing systemsand office records.
- Prepare reports,correspondence, and other business documents.
- Support leadership withscheduling, travel arrangements, and special projects.
- Ensure compliance withcompany policies and administrative procedures.
Office Culture & Events
- Assist with the planning,coordination, and execution of office events, celebrations, meetings, andteam-building activities.
- Support initiatives thatpromote employee engagement and contribute to a positive workplaceculture.
Requirements- Post-secondary Education inBusiness Administration or similar program, or a combination of relevanttraining and experience.
- 1-2 years of experience in asimilar role, preferably in the construction industry.
- Excellent command of MicrosoftOffice Suite and Outlook applications.
- Knowledge of the constructionindustry.
- Experience managing officefacilities.
- Knowledge of purchasingprocesses.

In accordance with applicable pay transparency legislation, EBC Inc. has included the expected salary range for this role, which is $60,000-$105,000. Compensation within the range is determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, localization, and internal equity. Base salary is one component of EBC's comprehensive total rewards offering, which may include performance-based incentives, extended health and wellness benefits, retirement savings programs, and career development opportunities.
