Job Summary

The Off-Premise Sales Representative is responsible for selling the Markstein Sales Company Portfolio into accounts in assigned territory. The account base is Convenience, Liquor, and Grocery Accounts. Meeting Customer needs through our portfolio of products, introducing new brands, and meeting Volume & Revenue targets is essential to this role. Strong communication skills are required.

Compensation Pay Range:
  • $70,000 - $100,000 plus Car Allowance

To meet the continuous demands of the business, the employee may be expected to carry out additional relevant tasks as assigned.

Job Duties: (not a comprehensive list)
  • Service and sell a set of assigned accounts in a specific geographic area to meet Volume & Revenue targets.
  • Take proper inventory to write the correct order, introduce new items into distribution, and sell in displays.
  • Monitor Price and Space Management inside assigned accounts
  • Rotate, Stock, and ensure quality control standards of all Markstein products are continuously met.
  • Practice Markstein Sales Company sales standards and impact selling techniques while in the trade.
  • Participate in all company and supplier sponsored incentive programs.
  • Maintain a strong level of Industry knowledge leading to increased Sales.
  • Build business relationships with assigned accounts and present professional sales presentations using sales history and pitchbooks.
  • Utilize Point of Sale to increase Volume & Revenue.

Requirements:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must possess a valid California Class C Driver's license.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent work experience. 3-5 years of beverage or consumer product sales experience is a plus.
  • Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or a minimum 3-years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word)
  • Must know how to use Apple products such I-phones, and I-pads.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision, ability to set priorities, coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously and be attentive to details. Highly self-motivated and able to work hours as required.
