Full Job Description
The Registered Occupational Therapist contracted or employed through the Agency is responsible for implementation of standards of care for occupational therapy services and for adherence to all conditions outlined in the Personnel Services Agreement.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates patient's functional status (muscle function, endurance, visual coordination, written and self-care ability, work capacity, etc.). Evaluates home environment for hazards or barriers to more independent living. Identifies equipment needs. Participates in the development of the total plan of care
  • Develops treatment program and establishes goals for improved function. Communicates plan of care to referring physician and other Agency professionals
  • May teach new skills or retrain patient in once familiar daily activities that have been lost due to illness or injury
  • May instruct patient in the use of various types of adaptive equipment, durable medical equipment, splints, etc., to improve function
  • May train patient in the use of prosthetic and/or orthotic devices
  • Maintains appropriate clinical records, clinical notes and reports to the physician any changes in the patient's condition. Submits these records in accordance with Agency policy
  • Maintains contact/communication with other personnel involved in the patient's care to promote coordinated, efficient care
  • Attends and contributes to in-services, case conferences, and other meetings as required by Agency policy to ensure coordinated and comprehensive plans of care for the patients of the Agency
  • Identifies patient and family/caregiver needs for other home health services and refers as appropriate
  • Maintain clinical competency in occupational therapy practice and theory
  • Instructs patient's family/caregiver and other Agency health care personnel in patient's treatment regime when indication and appropriate
  • Provide in-service education related to Occupational Therapy to Agency personnel as needed
  • Participates in peer consultation process

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of an Occupational Therapy curriculum accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education
  • Registered with the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association
  • Active unrestricted State of Nevada license to practice as an Occupational Therapist
  • Have and maintain current CPR certification
  • 2+ years of appropriate experience as a Registered Occupational Therapist
  • Experience working with an electronic medical record application
  • Demonstrates thorough knowledge of current Occupational Therapy professional standards of care, and state and federal regulations
  • Demonstrate excellent observation, verbal and written communication and organization skills
  • Proven to comply with accepted professional standards and practices
  • Proven basic PC skills to include Window, Outlook and Other email systems
  • Proven ability to prioritize and communicate objectives clearly.
  • Valid Nevada driver license with automobile that is in good working order and maintain personal auto insurance coverage in accordance with organization requirements

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $71,200 to $127,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
