Full Job Description
Key Responsibilities

Occupational Health & Safety Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and other applicable occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain workplace safety policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Conduct routine workplace inspections, safety audits, and compliance assessments.
  • Monitor and maintain required safety documentation, permits, and records.

Hazard Identification & Risk Management
  • Perform Job Hazard Analyses (JHA), risk assessments, and safety evaluations.
  • Identify workplace hazards and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Support implementation of engineering and administrative controls to reduce workplace risks.
  • Monitor high-risk activities including electrical work, confined space entry, hot work, and work at heights.

Incident Investigation
  • Investigate workplace accidents, injuries, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and develop corrective action plans.
  • Track incident trends and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare incident reports and maintain investigation records.

Safety Training & Awareness
  • Conduct employee safety orientation and ongoing training programs.
  • Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings, and emergency preparedness training.
  • Promote employee engagement and participation in safety initiatives.
  • Ensure employees understand safe work practices and PPE requirements.

Occupational Health Programs
  • Support occupational health monitoring programs and employee wellness initiatives.
  • Coordinate industrial hygiene activities such as noise, air quality, and exposure monitoring.
  • Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and chemical safety programs.
  • Assist in ergonomics assessments and injury prevention programs.

Emergency Preparedness & Response
  • Support development and maintenance of emergency response procedures.
  • Coordinate emergency drills, evacuations, and response training.
  • Participate in incident response and corrective action implementation during emergencies.

Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, audits, incidents, training, and corrective actions.
  • Prepare EHS/OHS reports and performance metrics for management review.
  • Support regulatory inspections and compliance audits.

Continuous Improvement
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance workplace safety and operational efficiency.
  • Participate in safety committees and cross-functional improvement initiatives.
  • Support implementation of ISO 45001 or other occupational health and safety management systems.
