Summary of Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Jones Day is seeking a motivated individual to join our Practice Services team as a Practice Manager for the Firm's global Real Estate Practice. Our Practice Services team sits at the intersection of practicing lawyers and performing Practice-specific administrative functions of the Firm. We work in a collaborative and dynamic team-based environment that is focused on providing excellent service to our lawyers, practices, firm and clients. The Practice Manager will be responsible for supporting and collaborating with Practice Leaders in their Practice management; working cooperatively with lawyers and fellow staff to advance and execute Practice initiatives; and proactively identifying, leading and taking ownership of defined and ad hoc short- and long-term projects.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum five years of experience working within a law firm or corporate legal department.
  • Highly motivated and proactive.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including an eye for editing.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational, time management, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong Excel capability and confidence in creative calculations and data analysis.
  • Strong PowerPoint capability.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • General knowledge of and familiarity with law firm practices.
  • Strong service orientation and ability to work with a wide range of people on a global team.
  • Ability to work under pressure and respond positively to changing priorities and timelines.
