Position Overview

As an Occupancy Planner, you will track, analyze, and interpret space data to develop occupancy scenarios and strategic space plans for a global portfolio. Your work directly influences how the organization deploys its real estate assets to support business growth. This role combines analytical rigor with strategic thinking to transform occupancy data into actionable insights that inform real estate decisions.

Space Planning & Strategic Analysis
  • Analyze and interpret occupancy data to address business partner needs and inform decision-making
  • Conduct go/no-go analysis for significant real estate transactions, providing comprehensive risk/benefit assessments
  • Support portfolio planning through occupancy requirements gathering and scenario modeling
  • Create space scenarios, block diagrams, and adjacency plans that balance business needs with operational efficiency
  • Translate business requirements into practical space solutions that maximize portfolio value
  • Provide look-and-feel documentation to support business and architect design decisions

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with business partners and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Transaction Management, Integrated Services Management, and Project Management teams to develop integrated solutions
  • Gather accurate growth projections and space requirements through effective stakeholder engagement
  • Translate occupancy data into clear insights that inform business partner decision-making
  • Conduct occupancy data validation in partnership with stakeholders to ensure accuracy and support business needs

Data Stewardship & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate, reliable, and timely occupancy data and floor plans as the foundation for portfolio insights
  • Conduct regular data validation to ensure information accuracy and system integrity
  • Analyze space utilization data the site and business partner levels to uncover tends and behavioral patterns
  • Reconcile discrepancies in occupancy data across systems and resources to maintain data reliability

Continuous Learning & Innovation
  • Stay current with corporate real estate and workplace trends through ongoing research and professional development
  • Share insights and best practices with team members to build collective knowledge and capabilities
  • Experiment with new methodologies and tools to enhance operational efficiency and stakeholder value

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Real Estate, Business, or related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in corporate real estate, space planning, facilities management, or portfolio analysis
  • Demonstrated interest in occupancy planning, space utilization, or real estate analytics

Technical Skills
  • Proficiency with data analysis and visualization platforms (Excel required; Tableau, Power BI, or similar preferred)
  • Working knowledge of space planning software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools)
  • Ability to interpret floor plans and develop space layouts
  • Comfort working with databases and portfolio management systems

Estimated compensation for this position:

85,000.00 - 95,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
