We are currently looking for a Full Time OB/GYN Physician to join our Division of Ambulatory Nursing team located at the Chickasaw Nation Medical Center.
Summary:
Provides specialty care dealing with the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of women.
Responsibilities:
* Acts as a consultant to other physicians
* Ensures continuity of care
* Provides comprehensive obstetric service including antepartum, intrapartum and postpartum care
* Serves on hospital committees and performance improvement teams as assigned by the Chief of Service or Chief of Staff
* Treats all patients with respect and maintains a cooperative attitude with other employees to facilitate quality patient care
* Serves as "on-call" obstetrician/gynecologist day and/or night
* Provides comprehensive care for patients in the Women's Clinic
* Provides comprehensive OB/GYN care in the emergency medicine department including arrangement of transfer of patients to another facility and/or physician for testing, consultation, treatment and/or admission when appropriate
* Provides comprehensive inpatient OB/GYN care for patients on the Labor and Delivery Unit, Operating Room, and Intensive Care Unit
* Provides support, education and guidance to midwives and other mid-level practitioners
* Performs major and minor surgeries and procedures in the operating room and the outpatient
* Provides first class customer service to both internal and external customers and responds to inquiries, compliments, and/or complaints with professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency
* Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities
* Works in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members and customers of all types
