Your ResponsibilitiesAs a
NVH Development Engineer for
John Deere Intelligent Solutions Group located in
Waterloo, IA, you will supportdevelopment and delivery of Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) performance,
leveraging core mechanical engineering fundamentals and product development experience, for tractor platforms, including electrified products through hands-on testing, analysis, and system-level problem solving. Applies these insights to guide design decisions and ensure products meet performance requirements. Works within cross-functional and global teams, contributing to issue resolution, capability development, and noise and vibration strategy.
You will also:
- Define and support achievement of noise and vibration performance requirements by partnering with design teams throughout product development
- Plan and execute noise and vibration testing in laboratory and vehicle environments, analyzing the data to identify root causes and recommend solutions
- Apply test and simulation results to proactively identify risks, inform design decisions, and ensure performance targets are met prior to product launch
- Work within cross-functional and global teams to track, prioritize, and resolve noise and vibration related issues across product platforms
- Communicate technical findings clearly through reports, presentations, and design reviews
- Contribute to development and continuous improvement of noise and vibration tools, methods, and engineering practices, including knowledge sharing and documentation

- Experience supporting product design, validation, or testing activities in a lab or field environment
- Experience analyzing engineering data and using results to inform design decisions
- Experience working in cross-functional product development environments
What Makes You Standout- Experience with off-highway or agricultural equipment
- Experience with noise and vibration testing and data acquisition tools (e.g., Siemens TestLab, HEAD Acoustics Artemis, or similar)
- Experience with noise and vibration simulation tools (e.g., Altair OptiStruct, ANSYS, or similar)
- Experience with modal analysis, transfer path analysis (TPA), or advanced vibration/acoustic methods
- Experience with using engineering data analysis tools (e.g., MATLAB, Python, or similar) to process data
Education- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline
