Responsibilities
The Nurse Manager is responsible for assisting the Director with the overall leadership responsibilities of the department in accordance with established nursing standards, philosophy and BSA mission/vision. The Nurse Manager serves as a vital link between management and the clinical staff as well as strives to achieve efficient, safe and cost effective patient care.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Graduate of accredited School of Nursing
- BSN or Actively enrolled/pursuing BSN, must complete within 24 months
- Current License as RN in State of Texas
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
- ACLS, PALS or NRP corresponding to area of service
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Previous acute care experience
- Demonstrates leadership and management skills in a healthcare environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Three years of experience in clinical specialty
