Responsibilities
The Nursing Service Administrator assumes twenty-four hour responsibility for planning and coordinating the clinical and managerial aspects of the specified division to assure quality patient care in accordance with the philosophy/goals/standards of the Nursing Department and the hospital. The Nursing Service Administrator supports the philosophy and standards of the Division of Patient Care Services and functions as a leader for nursing personnel. 'Senior' Administrator may be added to job title when scope of responsibility expanded.

The range for the role is $140,868- $176,085 (annual salary)

Qualifications
Minimum Education:
Master Degree in Nursing and/or Nursing Administration and/or Hospital Administration is preferred.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required.
Minimum Experience:
Must have at least five years of supervisory/management experience within an acute care hospital.
Eight years of relevant clinical experience in area of specialty such as Emergency Department/Observation Care/Medical
Surgical/Critical Care/and Clinical Operations, Perioperative Service preferred for Surgical Services
Experience with labor union is desirable.
Required Certification/Registration:
Licensed as a Registered Nurse professional in the State of New York.
Current ACLS Certification; Specialty Certification preferred.
Certifications as specified for RNs within the division preferred.
Certification as Nurse Executive preferred.
Minimum of one ANCC (American Nurse Credentialing Center) certification required on hire.
Physical Requirements:
Travel to multiple facilities may be required. Standing and walking most of the day; lifts, pushes/pulls to heavy weights as required
