General Summary of Position
The Nurse Wellbeing Program Manager at the MedStar Health Center for Wellbeing (MCW) within the MedStar Institute for Innovation (MI2) leads and supports strategic projects that drive wellbeing transformation through nurse wellbeing initiatives across MedStar Health. The role manages complex cross-functional programs by identifying opportunities developing solutions and fostering a culture of wellbeing. Working closely with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams this role supports changes in people process and technology to advance care delivery workforce sustainability and clinician experience. The ideal candidate brings strong healthcare program management expertise operational discipline and the ability to translate strategy into measurable impact in a fastpaced collaborative environment.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leads system wide nurse wellbeing programs and initiatives from concept through execution ensuring alignment with organizational goals and measurable impact on workforce wellbeing engagement and sustainability.
  • Executes the organization's bi annual employee wellbeing survey including planning stakeholder coordination data collection analysis reporting and dissemination of findings.
  • Project manages the National Nurse Wellbeing Conference including timeline development logistics coordination vendor and partner engagement abstract process support and post conference evaluation in partnership with Center for Wellbeing leadership and system Meeting Planning team.
  • Oversees administrative and operational support for the National Nurse Wellbeing Consortium including meeting coordination documentation communications and follow-up.
  • Manages wellbeing related designations and recognitions ensuring timelines documentation data collection and submission requirements are met.
  • Develops and maintains project plans including timelines milestones dependencies and accountability structures for complex cross functional initiatives.
  • Sets agendas and leads team meetings records meeting minutes tracks action items and ensures timely follow-up and execution.
  • Manages and reports on progress toward annual goals for the nurse wellbeing team identifying risks barriers and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Supports awareness outreach and engagement events related to nurse wellbeing initiatives including logistics materials and communications.
  • Creates and supports development of content including slide decks written program descriptions annual reports quarterly board reports and executive updates.
  • Manages operational and logistical needs for nurse wellbeing team.
  • Serves as a liaison and trusted advisor to internal and external stakeholders ensuring timely transparent communication and high-quality documentation.
  • Represents the Center for Wellbeing and MedStar Institute for Innovation in internal and external forums contributing to enterprise-wide improvement efforts and positioning MedStar Health as a national leader in nurse wellbeing.
  • Minimal Qualifications
    Education
    • Bachelor's degree in related field (e.g. nursing social work health studies etc.) required
    • Bachelor's degree nursing preferred
    • Master's degree preferred
    Experience
    • 8-10 years Relevant experience in project/program management including planning execution data tracking reporting and performance improvement initiatives required
    • Experience working effectively with nursing leadership frontline staff and interdisciplinary teams required
    • Experience leading work with external vendors partners or national organizations preferred
    • Experience in working within a team environment as a member facilitator and process manager required
    Knowledge Skills and Abilities
    • Demonstrated ability to plan organize motivate and control resources to achieve specific goals under the constraints of project scope time quality and budget.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage complex initiatives to successful completion
    • Basic computer skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    This position has a hiring range of

    USD $71,843.00 - USD $135,907.00 /Yr.
