Overview

Job Summary:

The Illinois Nurse Supervisor is responsible for ensuring compliance with Illinois Nurse Agency regulations and client requirements by overseeing the development and execution of a comprehensive compliance checklist. This role requires advanced knowledge of nursing principles, regulatory standards, and client expectations. The primary focus is on compliance, with additional marketplace responsibilities as the compliance framework matures.

Essential Functions:

Compliance Focus:
  • Develop and maintain a detailed compliance checklist to ensure that all necessary actions, such as licensure verification, training, and documentation, are completed for healthcare consultants.
  • Oversee the review process for consultant applications, ensuring all required elements (e.g., licensure, references, and employment history) are accurately captured and verified.
  • Ensure compliance with state laws, rules, and Illinois Nurse Agency regulations by monitoring and validating that all required actions, such as reference checks and service touchpoints, are completed.
  • Ensure that all necessary documentation is accurately maintained and easily accessible for audits, demonstrating that all compliance requirements have been met.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that all feedback from service touchpoints is reviewed and acted upon to maintain compliance and improve service quality.
  • Ensure Injury Reporting Protocol is followed by communicating with the appropriate internal contact and the local medical facility that provides post-accident care.


Marketplace Focus (Additional Responsibilities as Compliance Framework Matures):
  • Participate in developing strategies to enhance Actalent's competitive positioning in the marketplace, focusing on compliance and industry experience as a value proposition.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of training programs, policies, and procedures that align with both compliance requirements and marketplace needs.
  • Conduct research and analysis on healthcare trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to inform strategy and operations.
  • Develop innovative solutions to address client and consultant needs, leveraging compliance and industry expertise to enhance service delivery.
  • Engage in client discussions, including participating in RFP pursuits and presentations, to showcase Actalent's compliance excellence as a competitive advantage.


Supervisory or Management Responsibilities:

Oversee the Illinois Healthcare Program/Consultants, ensuring all compliance-related tasks are completed and documented.

Minimum Education/Abilities/Skills:
  • BSN; a Master's degree in Nursing Administration or Education is preferred.
  • Current Illinois Nursing Certification/License.
  • Minimum of one year of experience as a registered nurse, with experience in a supervisory or compliance-focused role preferred.
