Key Responsibilities: - The APP Manager oversees a dedicated team of 11 Advanced Practice Providers across five clinical locations, including IU Health West Hospital, IU North Hospital, Fishers Hospital, University Hospital and Methodist Hospital. This position plays a pivotal role in managing all aspects of employee relations, recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of new team members. The APP Manager is also responsible for conducting performance evaluations, providing clinical oversight, and ensuring adherence to quality and patient safety standards.
- In addition to leadership and operational responsibilities, the APP Manager maintains an active clinical practice and provides direct patient care within their area of expertise. This clinical presence supports continued competency, fosters credibility with staff, and enables the APP Manager to effectively mentor providers while remaining engaged in the day-to-day challenges of patient care delivery. Though strong leadership and clinical expertise, the APP Manager helps cultivate a positive work environment and drives the ongoing success of the APP team and the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Qualifications: - Master's Degree Required
- Must be an ACNP, AGNP, or FNP or PA
- This position will support all APP's in the Division of General Surgery so onboarding will include all clinical locations and APP's in colorectal, MIS and Bariatric specialties.
- Must have strong clinical skills
- Must be willing to work in a team atmosphere and make independent decisions.
- Strong communication skills and desire to work with learners would be ideal.
