Full Job Description
Johns Hopkins Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Oncology team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a world-class academic medical center dedicated to providing exceptional cancer care. Our APPs work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care for oncology patients.

Work Schedule: 7am - 7pm. Weekends and Holidays included. No nights.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive care to oncology patients, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.
  • Manage acute and chronic conditions related to cancer treatment and collaborate with oncologists on treatment plans.
  • Perform procedures such as bone marrow biopsies, lumbar punctures, and central line management (if applicable).
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including imaging and laboratory results.
  • Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment options, and symptom management.
  • Coordinate care across specialties to optimize patient outcomes and quality of life.
  • Participate in clinical research, quality improvement initiatives, and educational activities within the oncology division.


Qualifications:
  • For ACNP: Master's or Doctorate in Nursing with Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification.
  • Active Maryland license or eligibility for licensure.
  • Oncology experience preferred, but new graduates with strong clinical training may be considered.
  • Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.


Salary Range: Minimum 81.57/hour - Maximum 81.57/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
